at long last, ive got a working photoalbum up and ready. many thanks to quixoticpixels for the tutorial (and template!). id been tearing my hair out for hours trying to figure it out on my own---had i not found their site i feel certain i would have eventually shot myself. in the foot. anyway, go check our pics out. some of them happen to look less than ugly. arguably decent, even. its mind boggling.
i also spent the day cleaning up some errant coding on all of our pages. nctg now looks perfect in mozilla...no more 2px offset on all content below the navigation. i know two pixels is negligible for a lot of people, but for me it was like someone jabbing a shrimp fork in my eye everytime i fired up (pardon the pun) firebird. brings me to tears just thinking about how long i let the site be viewed in such an awful state of disrepair. but all is well, now. i put some modules in place to aid in future maintenance, as well as to take a few milliseconds off of loading time. i also went ahead and updated the links section. we now have permanent links to barry, trinity, and jon. fine persons, to be sure. also if youve noticed, all the sites in the links section now have little text boxes when you hover over them. i suppose i was bored.
i know ive been saying i was going to redesign the site and all but as it stands, i really cant think of anything better than what we have now. i feel kinda bad, since i made some neat graphics in photoshop for nctg version 2. i guess ill have to stow em away for later use. or maybe ill stick em in the photo album. i dont know.
its 4am. ian left for mounti-land yesterday...i wonder how long hes got until he reaches vancouver.
in any case, im dead tired. ill probably write some more later...but right now im gonna hit the sax0r.
